COVID-19 saliva tests

Description:

After you signed up for the test, you need to pay for it at www.ivfriga-online.lv. You will not be able to pay in cash.

Sample collection point: Uriekstes Street 1, Riga. Waze or Google Maps coordinates: 56.988656, 24.119245

Samples are taken:

• Monday - Thursday: 14:00 - 19:00
• Friday: 08:00 – 19:00
• Saturday: closed
• Sunday: 14:00 - 19:00

Upon arrival at the sample collection point, a payment order must be presented, which must contain the name, surname, personal code, Covid-19, and a personal identification document shall be required.

Please note: at the COVID-19 testing point, it is possible to pay by card on the spot. But we strongly ask you to use the online store for the payment in order to avoid overcrowding and the intersection of patient flows.

Precautions should be taken:

• 2 m distance between visitors;
• face mask must be used;
• if you have illness symptoms or you are in quarantine, you should arrive by private car or on foot.

Test results are available in Latvian, English or Russian of your choice.

The results will be sent within 24 hours by email in coded form.

Before the saliva test, you must not:

• drink alcohol (within 24 hours);
• eat, drink, smoke, chew gum, brush your teeth and rinse your mouth with mouthwash, use medications such as oral sprays, inhalers, and absorbable throat tablets (at least an hour, but preferably 3-4 hours before the test).

It is best to collect saliva immediately after waking up, when the virus concentration in saliva is the highest.

In case if these rules are not followed, it may be necessary to re-sample, which may delay the test results.
